Quote of the day

Christmas Color Wishlist: Just in time for the holidays!

Well, i woke up yesterday morning and what do you know out neighbor's roof was covered in snow! A pleasant reminder that day after day, Christmas is getting closer! So i created this craft for my family and yours, wishlists to make sure everybody knows what you want for the special holidays!
Enjoy
-R.B & R.H
 Step 1:
Start by cutting a piece of notebook paper down to a reasonable size.
 Step 2:
Then at the top of the paper i use a green Sharpie pen to write WISHLIST. Then i write my name in red Sharpie pen.
 Step 3:
Then i skip a line and write in green Sharpie pen SANTA with a little red hyphen after it.
 Step 4:
I then alternate colors and make two dashes on the side of my paper (one in red and one in green)
 Step 5:
next to each dash i put something i really really want in the opposite color (if the dash is red, the word is green)
 Step 6:
After i have completed the SANTA section of my wishlist, i write FAMILY & FRIENDS in red Sharpie pen.
 Step 7:
I then follow the same rules as in step five except with more items on my list

VIOLA!!
You are finished!

First winter snow today! Weather is a beautiful thing, you just have to learn how to make the most of it!

Crayola Lipz: We made lipstick out of Crayons!

Hi everyone!
if you haven't already guessed from the title, were making lipstick, out of your average crayola crayons! So what are crayons? Wax and non-toxic pigments, what is the average lipstick you buy at the store? castor, seed oil, fragrance, and titanium dioxide, just to name a few. Well, i think that this battle was over before it even started. I would personally rather put a crayon on my lips than risk it with chemicals and coloring. So how do you make this fabulous lipstick? Rosebud and Rosehip are going to show you how!

Step 1: Fill a sauce pot halfway with water, place a mini mason jar in the water and boil the water. When the water reaches a boil turn the heat down to a simmer.
Step 2: Put a half a teaspoon of coconut oil, and a half a teaspoon of Shea butter in the mini mason jar. (both of these ingredients are sold as a solid so they may take a minute to melt into liquid form.
Step 3: Cut about 3/4 of the crayon and remove the wrapper from the bigger section, then place the crayon into the mini mason jar.
Step 4: When the crayon is melted down to a liquid, pour the mixture into lip balm containers or bottle caps and let cool.
 VIOLA! your finished.
